This is my version of a Death Star Pumpkin. Standing about 1 1/2 foot tall, I grabbed this pumpkin from our local yearly Pumpkin Patch last night and started cleaning and carving just after 9 this morning. Finished I believe 9:30 this evening. I had three short 10 minute breaks. I used Brite Lite Pegs for some added pop. I have seen many of them online and felt it was time to make one for myself. So, with a warm heart, sore bottom and worn out arms and hands, I'd like to wish you all a very Happy Halloween 2012. ^_^
Hello Just letting you know that your awesome work was featured in this Halloween Artisan Crafts article, keep up the good work and I hope you had a great Halloween!
I just got a moment to peek over on my phone and see all the wonderful creations you have gathered from some of the deviants here. I have to say, Wow! I'm very honored to have something I have done be placed in with such a stunning list of crafts and their crafts. Thank you! I'm very happy to see my work put a smile on a face. It truly is the reason why I do my crafting. To lift spirits. Happy Halloween, Talty.
Wow, that's quite much time for carving only one pumpkin! o__O (I nearly got mad after only 2 hours xD) It looks really awesome with all those details! I was already wondering if someone would make a Death Star Pumpkin this year again <3 <3
I agree. It's a lot of time. But, I did enjoy it. And I think I did take my time on purpose on this one. Aside from some I did last year, I haven't done many in the past 10 years. This one was a thrill. But the one I did today on Halloween was a blast! (did a cannibalizing pumpkin) Spend about 6 hours on today's. Playing with the teeth mostly. I had fun and the neighbors enjoyed them very much this evening.^_^
